By the end of Mother's Day, May 10, 2020, the pews of Saint Peter's were filled with groceries for parishes in need.
Take a look at what your generosity produced. THANK YOU!!
The Archdiocese of Washington has shared the story of your generosity in the Catholic Standard.
As we prepare to honor our mothers on this coming weekend, let us remember that many mothers who live not that far away from us are struggling to put food on the table for their families.
We were not able to conduct our annual food drive during Lent, so we are making another effort from May 1st through May 10th to collect non-perishable food items for parishes in need.
Check out the photographs on this page.
What are the greatest needs?
Cereal (not with sugar) Canned tuna or chicken
Peanut butter and jelly Canned vegetables
Ready to eat meals Canned beans
Rice Canned fruit
Pasta or maccaroni Canned hearty soups
If possible, please avoid bringing items in glass.
Please bring items in a bag. You may bring it right into the church. The door on the east side (facing the rectory) is open from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm every day. Put it on a pew, or you may leave it in the colonnade. Thank you!
Our own Saint Peter’s Food Pantry is well-stocked, thanks to you. We know that you will be more than generous in caring for others.
